This is a cast iron mechanical piggy bank in the shape of a witch, also known as the “Witch Mechanical Bank.”
The design is based on the classic 19th-century “mechanical banks,” which were originally intended to encourage children to save money. The model shown is often a replica of, or inspired by, the original design by A.C. Williams from 1918.
